Hansal Mehta plans to create several programs for Netflix over the next few years.
"Hansal is a master of his craft and has an eye for spotting stories that have a broad appeal and are relevant to a wide audience," said Monika Shergill, VP, of programming, Netflix India. He is a refined storyteller who can relate to these stories like no one else. 'Scoop' is yet another hit for our series this year, and we look forward to bringing fans never-before-seen stories."
Hansal Mehta's film credits include "Shahid" (2012), which opened in Toronto and earned him the best director award at India's National Film Awards; "Aligarh" (2015), which premiered in Busan and received the Asia Pacific Screen Awards; and "Faraaz" (2022), which premiered at the BFI London Film Festival. His Netflix series "Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story" (2020) was a great hit.
