New Delhi, December 12, 2024: The legendary Raj Kapoor’s enduring contribution to Indian cinema was commemorated in a heartfelt gathering hosted by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The event, held in New Delhi, brought together family members, dignitaries, and industry veterans to honor the celebrated filmmaker on the eve of his 100th birth anniversary.

Raj Kapoor's legacy was celebrated at a special event hosted by our honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Speaking at the event, the Kapoor family expressed deep gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for his warm invitation and unwavering support in celebrating the extraordinary legacy of Raj Kapoor. “Thank you, Shri Modi ji, for such a special afternoon. Your warmth, attention, and support in celebrating this milestone meant the world to us,” the family said.

As the world marks 100 years of Raj Kapoor's artistry, vision, and impact, the family announced the ‘Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival,’ which will run from December 13-15, 2024. The festival will showcase 10 iconic films across 40 cities, with screenings in 135 cinemas nationwide, ensuring that his timeless contributions continue to inspire generations of cinephiles.

Raj Kapoor’s films, known for their emotional depth and social relevance, continue to influence Indian cinema today, making this centenary celebration a landmark event for film lovers and history enthusiasts.

The Prime Minister lovingly signed a special autograph for Taimur and Jeh.






Mumbai [India], October 6: Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan, on Thursday, shared her first look from her next film with director Hansal Mehta.

Taking to Instagram, Kareena shared a picture which she captioned, "Day 1Film number 67 or 68? Chalo guys let's do this."


In the picture, she could be seen leaning on a wall in all-black attire. She wore a black coloured long coat and looked towards the camera with her suitcase beside her. Soon after Kareena shared the picture fans flooded the comment section with red heart and fire emoticons.

Kareena began the first schedule of her next in London today.

Reportedly, the film marks the debut of the 'Heroine' actor as a producer.

Helmed by Hansal Mehta the film is co-produced by Ekta Kapoor.

On working with Kareena, Ektaa has earlier shared, "Kareena has been an actor with a huge, admirable (almost envious) body of work... and while her male co-stars turned producers in due course, she's finally joined the bandwagon now! I've always believed that women have an equal part or play in the business and success of a film." Ektaa added, "It's been a hard journey, but an encouraging & happy one! I'm so glad that today, we can empower each other like this! Here's to wishing Kareena Kapoor Khan the best on her journey as a producer...adding another feather to her already illustrious career! May we have more of her in our tribe!"

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kareena was seen in 'Laal Singh Chadha' opposite Aamir Khan, which failed to impress the audience at the box office.

She also recently wrapped up shooting her OTT debut project helmed by Sujoy Ghosh. The film is based on the Japanese novel 'The Devotion of Suspect X', which also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma in the lead roles. The film will exclusively stream on Netflix.

Alia Bhatt, who was launched by Karan into Bollywood with 'Student of The Year', also extended her birthday wishes by calling him 'mentor, best friend and father'. She shared adorable pictures with Karan from her wedding and shoot. She captioned her post as, "to the most generous soul I know! .. to the man who is my father .. my best friend .. and my mentor! (displayed in these pictures respectively) HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY K! Kareena Kapoor Khan sends a warm birthday wish to her BFF.
