Tom Cruise, Winnie the Pooh, & Nicole Scherzinger set to perform at King Charles' Coronation Concert

The crowning of King Charles III is guaranteed to be a remarkable affair, if only for the unusual roster that will appear at a concert held in the new monarch's honour.

The newest names to be announced for the Coronation Concert, which will take place the day after the historic ceremony in the grounds of Windsor Castle, are "Top Gun" actor Tom Cruise, Pussycat Dolls frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger, and tubby little cubby Winnie the Pooh.

It will not be the trio's first encounter with royalty, as all three have previously attended royal events. Cruise attended Princess Diana's burial in 1997, Pooh was invited to Queen Elizabeth II's 80th anniversary children's garden party at Buckingham Palace in 2006, and Scherzinger participated in a pageant for Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee last year.

For the coronation, which will commemorate King Charles' accession to the throne following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth, last year, Cruise and Pooh will appear in a series of pre-recorded VTs alongside "Dynasty" star Joan Collins, singer Tom Jones, adventurer Bear Grylls, and dancer Oti Mabuse, revealing "little-known facts about the King."

Paloma Faith, Tiwa Savage, Steve Winwood, Olly Murs, and club DJ Pete Tong have also been announced to perform at the performance. Lang Lang, a world-renowned pianist, and Lucy, a recent "The Piano" winner, will also perform at the evening. Sonam Kapoor, a Bollywood actress, will also perform a spoken word performance to introduce the Commonwealth virtual choir.

They will join previously confirmed performers such as Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Hugh Bonneville of "Downton Abbey" will emcee the proceedings, which will be produced by BBC Studios.

"I am incredibly honoured to be a part of such a historic event," Scherzinger remarked. "The United Kingdom has been my home away from home for many years, so lending my voice through the gift of song means so much to me." The song I'll be singing is a powerful, poignant composition. And performing on the same stage as Lang Lang will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

"I'm delighted that even more world-class names have joined the line-up for the Coronation Concert, which will be broadcast live across the BBC," said Kate Phillips, BBC director of entertainment.

It's going to be a jam-packed evening of memorable moments for Their Majesties and everyone in the UK, set against the majestic backdrop of Windsor Castle!"

The coronation of the King will take place on Saturday, May 6. The Coronation Concert will take place on Sunday, May 7,2023.





The royal tailor for Meghan, Kate , talks out about their dispute over bridesmaid dress

Washington [US], January 13: The much-discussed adjustments to Meghan Markle's bridesmaids' dresses before her wedding were made by the tailor, whose name was recently made public, and he has now spoken out about the entire incident.

Ajay Mirpuri, who Prince Harry mentioned in his new memoir "Spare," reportedly provided his perspective in an interview with the Daily Mail, a UK-based tabloid daily, according to People magazine, an American weekly publication.

Harry revealed in his autobiography that Kate texted Meghan four days prior to the wedding and remarked, "The dress on Charlotte is too long, too saggy, and too huge. When she tried it on at home, she sobbed." The book claims that Meghan told Kate to visit the tailor who had been "standing by" at Kensington Palace since 8 a.m. that day, but Kate maintained that "all the dresses need to be altered." Harry reports that Kate apologised the following day by dropping by with flowers and a card.

Princess Charlotte was one of Harry and Meghan's five young bridesmaids, along with the goddaughters of Harry, Florence van Cutsem and Zalie Warren; Meghan's goddaughters, Rylan and Remi Lit; and Ivy Mulroney, the daughter of Jessica Mulroney, a close friend of Meghan.

According to a report by US-based news portal, The New York Post, Prince Harry disclosed a lot of secrets about the British Royal Family in his latest interview on the segment '60 Minutes', which was broadcasted on CBS, a US-based news channel on Sunday.

To 55-year-old CBS presenter Anderson Cooper, the British royal opened up about how his father, King Charles, and brother, Prince William, reacted to his statement defending his wife Meghan Markle against the 'racist way' she was treated by the press. "They thought it made them look bad. They felt they didn't have a chance or weren't capable of doing so for their partners. What Meghan had to go through was similar in some ways to what Kate and Camilla had to go through, despite the fact that they were in very different situations "said the Duke of Suxxes. The 38-year-old Royal also discussed his struggles with accepting his mother, Princess Diana ,'s, death in the infamous 1997 car crash.

"For a long time, I simply refused to accept that she was no longer with us. She would never do this to us, but it could be part of a larger plan "He stated.
