"Sad Forever" was published not long after Lauren's debut full-length album Mirror, which was well-received by NPR, Billboard, Rolling Stone, and other publications. She is presently halfway through her 42-city global headline tour, The Mirror Tour, which has sold out a significant portion of its dates in North America, Europe & the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. Mirror is made up of 15 extraordinarily emotional, intimate songs that give listeners a glimpse into Lauren's life. The title Mirror is intimate and deliberate, “I’ve been working on this album for years. It has been with me through so much in my life, the highs and the lows, and it means more to me than I can put into words. It tells a story of reflection, healing and growth. The title comes from the one thing in my life that's seen me in every emotion through that journey— my bedroom and bathroom mirror.”
Through her approachable and genuine songs, Lauren has garnered a global fan base with more than one billion global streams to date. Mirror features singles like "That Part," the anthem of 2023's romanticism, "Best Friend Breakup," which provides solace for a particular kind of heartbreak, "Fantasy," which confronts toxic relationships and features her close friends and collaborators GAYLE and Em Beihold, and her breakthrough songs, the platinum-certified singles "Fingers Crossed" and "Flowers." With "Bigger Person," a previously unreleased fan favorite, and "Do It All Again," the album's penultimate single, Mirror is eagerly anticipated. Both songs contain a variety of melodic and lyrical Easter eggs that fans can discover.
Performances by Lauren on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 2022 MTV VMAs, Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, and other shows have highlighted her recent success. She performed at the People's Choice Awards, where she was nominated for Best New Artist, and Apple Music named her one of their "5 Breakthrough Artists Of 2022."
