'Koffee with Karan 7': Karan Johar reveals his sex life is very 'lonely'

Mumbai [India], July 21: Karan Johar in the third episode of 'Koffee with Karan Season 7' reveals that his sex life is currently very 'lonely'.

In the latest episode of 'Koffee with Karan 7', the 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' director welcomed south actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who marked her debut on the chat show along with actor Akshay Kumar. While having a conversation about their personal lives, the 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' actor talked to Samantha about his sex life and said, "My Love and Sex Life..It is very lonely, Sam. You and I are floating in the same boat", indicating towards the 'The Family Man 2' star's recent separation with south actor Naga Chaitanya.

Karan further asked the 'Pushpa' actor for going on a trip with him and said, "Maybe I can hop on and we can go cruising together...Shall we take a holiday together? I think it will be fun." In response to this Samantha just made a weird nod.

The third episode ended on a happy note, with Akshay Kumar winning the quirky rapid-fire round with 83 per cent votes of the live audience and Samantha winning the buzzer round. Meanwhile, on the work front, the 'Prithviraj' actor is currently busy promoting his upcoming film 'Raksha Bandhan' alongside Bhumi Pednekar.

The family entertainer film is all set to release on August 11, 2022, and will face a big Bollywood clash with Aamir Khan's upcoming film 'Laal Singh Chadha'. Samantha, on the other hand, will be next seen in a science fiction thriller film 'Yashoda', which will be released in Tamil and Telugu on August 12, 2022. Apart from that, she also has 'Khushi' alongside Vijay Deverkonda, which is slated to release on December 23, 2022.


Akshay Kumar amazed to know 'Prithviraj' team created over 50,000 costumes for the film

Mumbai [India], May 16: Ahead of the release of Akshay Kumar-starrer 'Prithviraj', the makers revealed that they had to create over 50,000 costumes and also used 500 different types of turbans during the shoot.

"Rarely do films take this much effort and embark upon such monumental tasks. Every element of our film which is based on the life of Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan has been dealt with utmost sincerity, authenticity and reverence. We have paid attention to the minutest details while making the film because we wanted this to be the most glorious retelling of Samrat Prithviraj's life on the big screen," Akshay said. According to director Chandraprakash Dwivedi, a special costume designer was specially flown in from Rajasthan to stay in Mumbai and make costumes from scratch. "Detailing was key to making a film like Prithviraj."

For example, 500 different turbans were created for the film. All these were authentic replication of the kinds of turbans worn by kings, masses, and people of various professions at that time. We had an expert on turban styling on the set who would oversee the process of these turbans being worn by our actors. Over 50,000 costumes were handmade for the film by a costume designer who, along with his team, was specially flown in from Rajasthan to stay in Mumbai and make these costumes from scratch. I'm glad I had a producer like Aditya Chopra who believed in my vision for the film and backed me completely to tell a story like this in the grandest way possible,"

Chandraprakash Dwivedi said. 'Prithviraj', which also features Manushi Chillar, Sonu Sood and Sanjay Dutt, will release in theatres on June 3.


Akshay Kumar Skips Cannes 2022 After Testing Positive for Covid-19 for 2nd Time

Mumbai [India], May 15: Akshay Kumar revealed that he has to skip the Cannes Film Festival this year (Cannes 2022) after testing positive for Covid-19. This is the second time that the actor tested positive for Covid-19. He shared the heartbreaking news on Social media.

Taking to Twitter, Akshay wrote, "Was really looking forward to rooting for our cinema at the India Pavilion at #Cannes2022, but have sadly tested positive for Covid."

The Khiladi was supposed to walk the red carpet on the opening day of the 75th Cannes Film Festival as part of the Indian contingent along with music maestro A R Rahman, filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and actor Pooja Hegde. Expressing his disappointment on not being able to attend the festival, Akshay further wrote, "Will rest it out. Loads of best wishes to you and your entire team, @ianuragthakur. Will really miss being there." This is the second time in over a year that Akshay Kumar has been diagnosed with the virus. In April 2021, he shared that he tested positive for the virus.
