Taking to Twitter to share the news, Shah Rukh Khan stated that his Knight Riders cricket team franchise now has its first women's team. The Women's team has been named 'Trinbago Knight Riders' and will play the inaugural Women's Caribbean Premier League.

He wrote, "This is such a happy moment for all of us at @KKRiders @ADKRiders & of course the lovely set of people at @TKRiders. Hope I can make it there to see them live!"

The Women's Caribbean Premier League will begin on August 30 and apart from SRK's team, the other two teams confirmed to play the series are Barbados Royals and Guyana Amazon Warriors.

Mumbai [India], May 16: Legendary Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 46 following a car accident, had also appeared as a guest in the 'Bigg Boss' house during the show's fifth season.

Andrew Symonds with Sunny Leone

While being part of the Salman Khan hosted reality TV show in 2011, he was quite entertaining in the house and even grooved to Bollywood songs. Inside the house, where he stayed for 11 days, Symonds was accompanied by Pooja Misrra as a translator.

The same season that Symonds was part of actor Sunny Leone, who later made her Bollywood debut with 'Jism 2', was also featured and both of them became great friends inside the house.

Despite the fact that he did not understand Hindi, the former IPL star through his actions had taught all the contestants how to always stay cool in tough situations and gave fans some entertaining moments.

During one of the episodes, like a true filmi, he proposed Pooja and Shonali Nagrani and also sang 'Aati Kya Khandala' for season five winner Juhi Parmar.

After the news of his demise spread, Shonali took to her Instagram handle and shared condolences. "What's going on? I Struggling to process this. My deepest condolences to his family. #RIP #andrewsymmonds #Australiacricket #cricket," she wrote.

Along with featuring in 'Bigg Boss', the cricketer was also a part of the Akshay Kumar starrer Bollywood film 'Patiala House', where he portrayed himself. The two-time World Cup winner Symonds was the sole passenger in the fatal car crash just outside of Townsville in his home state of Queensland and police confirmed that he died on the spot. Symonds is the third Australian cricket legend to suddenly pass away this year following the tragic deaths of Shane Warne and Rod Marsh in March.
