AABHA HANJURA'S NEW FOLK SONG "MERE HIKDUYE GADBAD" IS A NEW AGE BLEND OF FOLK & CONTEMPORARY MUSIC

The final folk song from Aabha Hanjura's EP, "Mere Hikduye Gadbad," which she recently published, is well-known for both her dynamic live performances and her wide range of musical styles. The song is a lovely fusion of traditional Dogri folk music from Jammu and Himachal Pradesh regions, showcasing a contemporary acoustic folk style.

In her song, Aabha tells the tale of women from Chamba's highlands who describe their daily life. The lovely singer's voice and the pahadi lyrics in the song transport listeners to the highlands. The songs "Hukus Bukus," "Sahibo," and "Madano" by Aabha had previously been a hit with music fans and have won praise from well-known artists all over the world. At the 7th annual Radio City Freedom Awards, her song Madano received a nomination for Best Folk Fusion Song. She is one of the most in-demand folk musicians in the nation thanks to her distinctive fusion of traditional Kashmiri music with modern styles.

Speaking about the song's inspiration, Aabha Hanjura's communiqué, “Hikduye Gadbad is a happy song about a girl from the hills and I relate to this songs naughty happy vibe it's percussive yet soulful and we had a lot of fun shooting a colorful video for this track and as I wrap the EP Folk Sessions with this last song, I hope I hope my listeners from all over especially, Jammu and Himachal Pradesh will connect to this song as much as I did”

Anne Hathaway to play pop star in David Lowery's 'Mother Mary'

Anne Hathaway is ready to display her musical talents again. The Oscar winner will channel her inner pop star in the upcoming David Lowery-directed movie 'Mother Mary'.

According to Deadline, the A24 production will follow a fictional musician's relationship with an iconic fashion designer, played by Michaela Coel, reported People, a US-based media company. Described as an "epic pop melodrama," the film is also set to feature songs created by Jack Antonoff and Charli XCX, along with an original score composed by Daniel Hart. Ecstatic about the project, Charli XCX shared a photo alongside Antonoff, on Instagram shortly after the announcement and wrote, "jack bout to get mothered." 'Mother Mary' marks the third collaboration between Lowery and A24 after 2017's 'A Ghost Story' and 2021's 'The Green Knight'. He also directed the 2016 Disney film 'Pete's Dragon' and the upcoming 'Peter Pan & Wendy'.

The announcement follows a string of successes for A24 after the release of last year's 'Everything Everywhere All at Once'. The film, directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, became the studio's first movie to make over USD100 million at the box office, and it won seven Oscars, including Best Picture. Hathaway sang during her Oscar-winning performance in the 2012 film 'Les Miserables'.

She also recently showed off her vocals while on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' in March 2022.
