Mumbai [India], December 9: Superstar Aamir Khan inaugurated the new Aamir Khan Productions office in Mumbai recently.

He performed puja as per Hindu rituals at his office along with his former wife and filmmaker Kiran Rao. Laal Singh Chaddha director Advait Chandan took to Instagram and shared several images from the puja.


Aamir is seen wearing a sweatshirt and denims that he paired with Nehru cap and a cloth around his shoulders as he set up a kalash (pot) as part of a ritual during the puja. He also had a vermilion tikka on his forehead. His office is also seen decorated with colourful balloons. "Pooja at the new #AamirKhanProductions office," Advait captioned the post.

Recently, Aamir has decided to take a break from acting.Aamir appeared at an event in Delhi, where he talked about his career and revealed he is stepping back from acting for a year and a half. Several videos and pictures from the event went viral. In one of the clips, Aamir disclosed that he was supposed to do a film called Champions. However, now he wouldn't be acting in the film but would be involved in its making. "When I am doing a film as an actor, I get so lost in that that nothing else happens in my life. I was supposed to do a film after Laal Singh Chaddha called Champions. It's a wonderful script, a beautiful story, and it's a very heartwarming and lovely film. But I feel that I want to take a break, be with my family, with my mom, my kids." Aamir emphasized that this is perhaps the first break he is taking from acting in his 35-year-career. "I feel I have been working for 35 years and I have single-mindedly been focused on my work. I feel that it's not fair to people who are close to me. This is the time I feel I have to take some time off to be with them, and actually experience life in a different way. I am looking forward to the next year, a year-and-a-half in which I am not working as an actor," Aamir Khan's communiqué.

Aamir's revelation about taking a break from acting comes months after his film 'Laal Singh Chaddha' failed at the box office.



Mumbai [India], August 10: Kiran Rao's directorial 'Laapataa Ladies' has got a release date. It will hit the theatres on March 3, 2023.

On Wednesday, the makers unveiled the film's teaser along with the release date. "Aamir Khan Productions & @KindlingIndia present 'LAAPATAA LADIES' directed by #KiranRao #LaapataaLadies releases in theatres on 3rd March 2023," an announcement shared on Aamir Khan Production's Instagram page read.


Set in rural India, 'Laapataa Ladies' follows the jolly mess that ensues when two young brides get lost from a train. The main cast of the film includes Sparsh Shrivastava, Ravi Kishan, and Chhaya Kadam, and the project is also launching two very talented young actresses who play the brides.'Laapataa Ladies' is directed by Kiran Rao, and produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao.

While the film has been made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions, the script is based on an award-winning story by Biplab Goswami.

The screenplay and dialogue are written by Sneha Desai, and additional dialogues are written by Divyanidhi Sharma.

Kiran Rao, who started her film journey as one of the assistants on the sets of Aamir-starrer 'Lagaan', is best known for directing 'Dhobi Ghat', which was released in 2010. It starred Prateik Babbar, Monica Dogra and Kriti Malhotra.


Mumbai [India], July 21: Russo Brothers are currently in India for the promotional tour of their Netflix's project 'The Gray Man' and Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan had a gala evening with them.

Aamir invited the brothers and Dhanush along with a few other members from 'The Gray Man' over for dinner at his home on Wednesday night. As per a source, Aamir fed the guests all Gujarati delicacies. To treat his guests to authentic Gujarati cuisine, Aamir invited different chefs from diverse parts of Gujarat who specialize in cooking different traditional dishes.

The chefs included those specialising in making Papad Luva Patodi, Tuver Lifafa, and Kand Puri from Surat, others who make fafda and jalebi from Surendranagar and a chef from Khambhat for Sutarfeni. Aamir's ex-wife, Kiran Rao, also joined the get-together. A picture has been doing the rounds on the internet in which Aamir and Kiran are seen posing with the Russo Brothers and Dhanush, who plays a prominent part in 'The Gray Man'.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Aamir is busy promoting his film 'Laal Singh Chaddha', which is helmed by Advait Chandan. Laal Singh Chaddha' is an official Hindi adaptation of the Academy Award-winning 1994 film Forrest Gump, which had Tom Hanks in the lead role.

It is scheduled to release on August 11 this year. Kareena Kapoor and Mona Singh are also a part of the film.
